How the tea tastes

Moon Goddess

This precious Oolong captivates with floral, fruity, and sweet notes, enhanced by the musky fragrance of the Osmanthus blossom. An intensely aromatic combination that will enchant you! Classic Tieguanyin Oolong is renowned for its legendary history in China as well as in the global tea world and harmonizes perfectly in this floral-aromatic blend.

How to create
the perfect cup of tea

The preparation

Give the precious tea leaves plenty of space to expand fully. Use a large tea strainer or brew the leaves in a teapot, then strain them into a serving pot. We recommend multiple infusions for your Oolong to let it reveal its complex flavors layer by layer.

The processing of the tea

In October, the leaves of the Tieguanyin cultivar are harvested, partially oxidized, and rolled into small green ball shaped pearls. Once transformed into an exquisite Oolong tea, the precious golden Osmanthus petals are added in the final step and thoroughly mixed—a fragrant flower celebrated in China for its eternal beauty and intertwined with numerous legends.

FAQ about Moon Goddess

Moon Goddess is a scented oolong tea from Fujian, China. It is made from oolong tea leaves that are refined after processing with fragrant osmanthus blossoms.
Osmanthus blossoms are small, intensely fragrant flowers that have long been treasured in China. Their aroma is reminiscent of apricot, stone fruit and delicate floral notes, with a gentle, warm sweetness.
Moon Goddess is a pure oolong tea scented with osmanthus blossoms. Its floral character comes from the addition of the blossoms rather than from a classic fruit or herbal tea blend.
The tea leaves are harvested, partially oxidised and rolled into small green balls. Only after the oolong has been fully processed are the osmanthus blossoms added and blended with the tea.
Ball rolling is typical of many high-quality oolongs from Fujian. It helps preserve the tea’s aromas and allows the leaves to gradually unfurl during infusion.
Moon Goddess is an oolong tea, so in terms of flavour it sits between green tea and black tea. Green tea is hardly oxidised at all and often tastes fresher, grassier or lighter, while black tea is fully oxidised and usually has a stronger, more malty character. Oolong is only partially oxidised, combining floral freshness with greater depth and a softer, fuller body. That balance is exactly what makes Moon Goddess with its osmanthus notes so distinctive.
Moon Goddess is ideal for anyone who enjoys floral, elegant oolong teas. It is also a lovely choice for tea lovers who want to explore complex teas through multiple infusions.
