The preparation

The more oxidized the tea, the hotter the water should be for brewing to get the best flavor. For fully oxidized black tea, higher temperatures help bring out its intense and malty aromas.

The processing of the tea

After natural withering, the tea leaves are gently rolled and dried. Through a thrice-repeated scenting process with fresh jasmine blossoms, the hand-rolled pearls absorb the floral aroma. This traditional method imparts the tea with its distinctive scent and flavour.

The Chinese province of Yunnan is renowned as the birthplace of tea, offering an ideal terroir with its mountainous terrain and fertile soils. In the Simao region, part of the historical Tea Horse Road, the famous Dianhong teas are produced. These teas are celebrated for their golden tips and sweet, malty flavour profile.
